This page was designed on a computer (monitor) who's display resolution was set to 800 pixels wide, by 600 pixels high (800 x 600). This movie picture is 640 x 480. Since it is not wide enough to fill the screen, it 'tiles' (begins again, where the first one ends). This does not present a nice look. If it does fit nicely, your monitor resolution is probably set to 640 x 480. If you have a 15" or larger monitor, and a sufficient video card, you may want to change to the more standard 800 x 600 screen resolution (and increase your color capabilities while there). Monitor Display Issues

The majority of Internet users have their monitors set to 800 x 600; some even higher. (Instructions to adjust your display resolution are below)

Your monitor is set to 640 x 480 screen resolution for a couple of reasons. If you have a 14" monitor, you are probably stuck at 640 x 480 and cannot change it. With older computers/monitors, the video card is not of sufficient memory capacity to support 800 x 600. If you have a 15" or larger monitor (most common today is the 17") you probably can change your screen display resolution to 800 x 600, and it is recommended for proper viewing of the majority of web sites on the Internet.

There are several ways to get to your display settings to change your screen's resolution. The easiest way is to 'right click' your 'Desktop' (front screen of your monitor) and select 'Properties' (do NOT click on an icon). In the Display properties window click the 'Settings' tab at the top. In this window you will see 'Screen area' - slide the bar to the right until you see 800 x 600. Before clicking Ok, I'd recommend you click the 'Advanced' button and go to the 'Compatibility' section and click "Apply the new color settings without restarting", Ok. (There is no need to restart your computer just to change your screen resolution or appearance).

PS. While there, make sure your 'Colors' are set as high as they will go also. Click the down arrow and select 16, 24, or 32 bit color. If left on 256 colors many graphics on the Internet will look grainy and layered - not attractive at all.

Once all this is done, and you've moved the slide to 800 x 600, click Ok, and the screen will display a message, "Windows will now resize your desktop ..." This is normal. Click Ok, Yes, etc. Now view this web site again and see how the logo 'fits'.

If your computer will not accept the 800 x 600 settings, you probably have an old video card in your computer, or a non-SVGA monitor. Time to buy a new one. SVGA, 17" monitors are going for around $175-$200 today. Video cards are a mere $25-$40 and can be changed out rather easily at your nearest computer shop. Don't let them charge you $50 for labor on something that takes 5 minutes to do. If you do it yourself don't forget to load the new drivers for your video card (that floppy or CD that comes with it). Good Luck.
